Lisa Young
Lisa is a life-long resident of Canandaigua attending and graduating from Canandaigua City
Schools. She is married to Dave, also a Canandaigua School graduate and has two adult children who
have also graduated from Canandaigua Schools.
Lisa graduated from Nazareth College with a BS in Psychology and Education, and a MS in Education. She
has teaching certifications in Education; N-6, Special Education; K-12, and Reading; K-12. After 36 years
of teaching, Lisa recently retired from Canandaigua School District. At retirement, Lisa was co-teaching in
a 3
rd grade ICT classroom setting as a Special Education instructor.
Ms. Young has been a life-long advocate for students with learning differences. Through the Generations
Connection, she continues that commitment to support students who need additional opportunities to
thrive and succeed. Lisa is proud to be part of Generations Connection providing relationships and
resources for all students in the Canandaigua Schools.
In her retirement, Lisa enjoys time with family and friends, crafting, reading, and tutoring. She is an
active volunteer with the Finger Lakes Relay for Life support network. Lisa especially enjoys spending
time playing with her two mini-Goldendoodles.
